Although we may be in January, I’m finding it really hard to motivate myself when it comes to blogging. I didn’t take a break over Christmas, but I have had a little break over the past few weeks. I usually try to blog daily. But blogging five days a week is tough! And this month has been an intense one already. I started a new job last week which is amazing, intense, exhausting and exciting all rolled into one. But it has meant that I haven’t been able to keep up with my blog demands as much as I like to. And while taking a break from the blog can be therapeutic, I know how hard it can be to get back into blogging following a break. Which is why I wanted to share three tips for getting back into blogging:
THREE TIPS FOR GETTING BACK INTO BLOGGING
I find one of the hardest things about getting back into blogging is trying to blog when you feel like you have nothing good to write about. But actually, once I sit down with a notebook (I know, how modern!), and start brainstorming. It’s amazing how quickly my enthusiasm for blogging can return.
Following a break, it’s always good to look at your blog’s focus and see if you’re happy with it. Or whether it needs to be updated. Nothing makes me more eager to get back into blogging that a new focus, direction or blog series to get planning. And start filling in a new editorial calendar.
Now I probably do this too often. But a new template, layout, updated profile picture can work wonders with helping me get back into the blogging mindset and reignite my blogging spark. Even just updating your stats or clearing up your sidebar can help.
