New makeup sponges from Real Techniques

When it comes to makeup brushes and sponges, there are quite a few cult favourites out there. But one the biggest brands, and one of favourites, is Real Techniques. I own a fair few of their brushes. And love how well made they are. How super soft they are. And how perfectly they apply makeup. And then when they launched their original miracle complexion sponge a few years back I loved that too. And now they’ve launched a whooping eight, yes EIGHT, new sponges to add to their range!

2 Miracle Sponges with stands £11.99

Both of these may have launched at the end of last year, but they’ve been relaunched with the introduction of these handy little stands. The pack includes the miracle sculpting sponge which is perfect for creating shadows and highlight. Plus you can use this dry for a full coverage finish. Or damp for a gorgeous glowy finish. Along with the miracle sculpting sponge, there is the miracle mini eraser sponge. Which is fab at correcting tiny makeup mistakes. From eyeshadow fallout, to a mascara mishap, this sponge can handle it all.

4 mini miracle complexion sponges £7.99

I love these mini miracle complexion sponges. They’re small enough for your travel makeup bag and perfect to use on smaller, more detailed makeup jobs. Personally I find these are brilliant at blending in concealer for a smooth and natural-looking finish.

4 miracle contour wedges £9.99

These contour wedges are designed to make contouring simple and easy. Which is what we all want right? There are three ‘sides’ to the wedge. The pointed tip for application. The domed sides for blending. And the flat side to buff it into the skin. You can use these damp for your cream products or dry for your powders.

4 miracle blotting cushions £8.99

These are probably some of the more interesting sponges they’ve launched. They’re multi-functional miracle blotting cushions you can use in a whole host of different ways for a smooth, mattified finish. You use these dry to either dab on foundation, smooth creases or blot any oily areas.

The dual-ended expert sponge £5.99

I love the idea behind this sponge. It’s been designed for those of us who like medium to heavy application coverage with it’s dual sides. You use the orange side to apply foundation, while the pink side is designed for contouring, highlighting or blushers. The benefit of having the two sides is that it helps you cover the skin while adding colour with the same sponge. You can use this one damp or dry with both powder and liquid makeup.

Miracle finish sponge £5.99

This sponge is perfect for the blusher lovers. It’s been designed to help create a natural-looking, but airbrushed application of blush. It’s best to use this sponge damp so you can bounce the blusher onto your cheeks. Leaving a lovely light, airbrushed finish.

Miracle face + body sponge £7.99

Following the success of the original miracle complexion sponge, they’ve launched a GIANT face and body version. You can use this sponge for streak-free application of bronzers, highlgihters and body makeup. The flat edge is designed for contouring and highlighting, while the tip is perfect for precision application.

Miracle cleansing sponge £5.99

Now this is a little different for Real Techniques as they’re moving into the world of cleansing and exfoliating! This sponge has been designed to prep the skin for makeup application. And it’s one of my favourites from their new range. The shape is fab at reaching all contours of your face, and it really does exfoliate away all the oil and dirt leaving your skin silky smooth and ready for makeup.

All I can say is wow, what a collection! The whole range is available from Superdrug and they’re currently on offer – buy one get one half price.

What do you think of this collection? Will you be adding any of these sponges to your collection?
