Now I don’t know about you, but one of the most exciting things about moving into your own space is getting the chance to decorate it exactly how you like. You can paint it whatever colour you like – for me, that’s pink. You can decorate it however you like – for me, that’s an overload of rose gold accessories. And you can hang as many pictures up on the way as you like – and for me, that’s as many as possible. Which is why I wanted to share with you all my bedroom makeover and how I’ve turned my house into a home. And if you stay tuned to the end, there’s also a Desenio discount code (valid August 2018 – full details below).

Obviously, the main focal point in this space is the bed. Keeping with the colour theme of the rest of the place, I love the way the grey bed frame really compliments the pink walls. And seeing as my walls were pretty bare, I couldn’t wait to find some gorgeous art pieces that would really work in the space. And I’m so happy with these Desenio prints.

Rather than any style of print, I really wanted something that felt more like art. And these are perfect. I’ve got the Art Deco Dream poster, the Dreamy Stained Glass poster and the Pink Grey Gradient Cubes poster. I went for all three in the 50cm by 70cm and the matching black frames.

Either side of the bed, I’ve got the classic Hemnes bedside tables from Ikea and the tall Hemnes chest of drawers on the same wall as the ensuite. My love of Ikea furniture doesn’t end there though. I also have the Malm dressing table and Ikea Nissedal mirror above the dressing table. I’m not sure how, but I’ve managed to cut down my makeup collection to fit into the Malm dressing table and in the Muji five drawer storage unit on top. I know, I’m impressed with myself too.

Opposite the bed, I also have my new pride and joy – this gorgeous Seriana mirror from Laura Ashley. It’s so big and so heavy but I absolutely love it! I wanted a mirror big enough to take outfit selfies in – sad I know. But I love how classic this looks. You could hang it up on the wall if needed, but I like the lean-to effect. The only thing missing in this room is a rug. I did have one underneath the bed, the blogger favourite Afaw Berber Style Rug from La Redoute. But I ordered it in the wrong size and colour – so I’m just waiting for the replacement to arrive.

You may have noticed that there’s no wardrobe in this room. If you follow me on Instagram you would have already seen a sneak peak of the dressing room. But keep your eyes peeled for the full dressing room/office reveal in a couple of weeks time.

I’m still in a flatshare (thanks London rental prices) so I can only customise my flat within a certain limit but can’t wait for the day I can go wild on my own home! Your place looks beautiful – you can tell a lot of care and thought has gone into your decor!

I love how peaceful yet decadent your bedroom looks. I moved in with my partner at Christmas and have just gotten around to unpacking and sorting through my stuff, its amazing how quickly you can transform a house into a home with a little effort.
