Another month over and another favourites post for you all. So here are my February favourites for you all:
Garnier Micellar Cleansing water
As mentioned in my previous post about this, having been a fan of the L’Oreal version for a while, I was excited to try the Garnier offering. Not only is it twice the size of the L’Oreal version for pretty much the same price, but it’s also better at limiting the amount of product that comes out. The L’Oreal one had a habit of allowing too much product to come out onto the cotton pad meaning that there was a lot of wastage, which is something you don’t get with the Garnier one. Plus, this is incredibly kind to the skin and brilliant at removing my make-up when I use it before cleansing.
Revlon Lip Butters
Like I’ve previously said, I seemed to have missed the beauty bubble for these a few years ago, but have discovered them lately and am in love with them. They are so creamy and moisturising on your lips just also have pretty impressive pigmentation in them. My two favourite shades are Sugar Frosting and Sorbet and I’ll definitely be purchasing some more Spring shades soon.
Models Own Hyper-Gel Nail Polishes
I love these. I tried these earlier this month and was pretty wowed by them. Not only do these have some amazing shades, but the gel effect ensures that they are seriously shiny on your nails and they have amazing lasting power. Mine were on my nails for eight days before I removed them, which is very impressive for a nail polish.
L’Oreal True Match Foundation
As mentioned in my previous post about this foundation, this is an apparent dupe for the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation. So of course I had to try it. And I wasn’t disappointed. It gives a light coverage which is ideal for me but also buildable if you wanted a heavier coverage. It’s creamy, blends well and did give a pretty flawless finish.
Rimmel Fix & perfect Primer
As a high street primer, this is amazing. This primer is a 5 in 1 primer that smoothes, resurfaces, brightens, mattifies and protect your skin underneath your make-up. The gel-based formula glides over my skin as it smoothes it without being too drying or too greasy. It feels so soft to touch and sinks in really quickly. It keeps my skin matte and oil free for a lot longer than just using a foundation.
Urban Decay Primer Potion
I received a sample of this with my original Naked palette and have used it a few times since then and just love it. The cream liquid dries colourless on the lid and once you place your eyeshadow on top, it’s not moving until you get out the make-up remover. I have quite oily lids so didn’t really expect this to work, but oh my it does. My eyeshadow doesn’t rub off, it doesn’t crease, in fact, eight hours after using this cream, my eyeshadow is still in place. I love this product and although the MUA Pro-Base Eye Primer is not a bad alternative. Nothing can compare to this.
Bourjois Liner Feutre
Every make-up look I do includes a eyeliner, I just love them. And this one from Bourjois is my new favourite. I’d been after a new pencil style liner for a while, and this is just so easy to use. The soft felt tip application is ideal for getting the look you want on your lids and it’s also incredibly long lasting as it stays in place all day. What more do you want from a liner?
