Happy Sunday everyone! I don’t know about everyone else but I would love to be one of those people who get to spend Christmas, or at least part of the winter season, abroad. I mean wouldn’t it be amazing to be on those gorgeous sunny beaches of Barbados that you see the like or Simon Cowell on every year? But if you are looking for some idea on where to head for some winter sun then here are my top five destinations:
I’ve never been here but want to go so badly! It’s only an extra hour on the plane from the Canaries and guarantees mid-20’s and sunshine during the winter months. This is perfect for those who don’t like to spend too long on a plane, but want the sunshine.
It’s not called the sunshine state for nothing. And the fact that it boasts 1,350 mils of coastline makes it the perfect winter sun spot if you fancy heading across the Atlantic. You could even squeeze in a trip to Disney at the same time. Which by the way would make this trip even more amazing!
I feel like this is the ultimate winter sun destination. I mean it has everything! Postcard perfect beaches, crystal clear waters and a good chance of spotting a celeb or two by the Sandy Lane resort. What more do you want from your winter sun break?
Again this is another destination on my bucket list, but what an amazing destination for some winter sun! I’d love to visit the glitzy world of the United Arab Emirates and visit the Burj Al Arab, spend my days on the sandy beaches of Jumeirah beach and shopping until I dropped in the Dubai Mall. If you’ve got money to burn, then this would be top of my winter sun list!
I haven’t been to Thailand for a few years now but the time to visit is during the dry season of December-April. And what a place it is to visit! You can island hope around some of the most beautiful beaches in the world or you can spend a few weeks in one of their luxury hotels on the island of Phuket.
