Winter Skincare Saviours

It finally feels like winter has arrived. There was snow on the ground over the weekend and I’m not sure the temperature is going to get into double figures this week. And while I like the winter months, my skin seems to hates it! It looks dull, dry and just generally a bit eurgh. Which is why I thought I’d share with you all some of my winter skincare favourites to help you get glowy and radiant looking skin in winter.

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm

Now this is a firm favourite amongst the beauty community and it’s easy to see why. This cult classic not only thoroughly cleanses and moisturises the skin, but it also helps to purify and minimise the appearance of open pores, and can double up as a soothing mask. It’s a pretty amazing product and a must to make my skin glow.

Hydraluron Moisture Booster

This clear serum has one key ingredient – hyaluronic acid, which helps to increase the skin’s moisture retention capability. It also helps to increase the skin’s hydration from below the surface. Which helps to combat my dry skin during the bad weather.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

When my skin is particularly dry I use this one or twice a week. I apply a thick later before bed and in the morning my skin has quite literally ‘drunk it up’. When using this my skin looks and feels nourished and moisturised, which is exactly how I want my skin to feel. Plus, this mask smells amazing, really refreshing and fruity.

Soap and Glory The Scrub of your Life

So Soap & Glory themselves call this the ‘ultimate super-smoothing body buffer’ and having tried this myself, I couldn’t agree more. Soap & Glory the scrub of your life is an award-winning product filled with a mixture of tiny pink bead and fine, colourless grains in a thick, clear, colourless gel. The fine scrub particles are great at getting rid of dead skin cells, and give you super soft skin.

Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter

This lotion has so many plus points, it’s lightweight with an intensively moisturising formula that provides immediate comfort and hydration without leaving a greasy residue on my skin. The milky lotion is designed to spread easily over the body and absorbs quickly, while the Vitamin C and E help protect the skin for a healthy, radiant glow.

I like the idea of an overnight mask, my dry skin would love that. I do my best to moisturise both in the morning and before bed. x

I’ve only tried the Origins Drink Up since Christmas and it seems my skin just LOVES it!
The Soap & Glory is just perfect too and so affordable, one that I always have in my bathroom!
I have a cleansing balm to try out soon but I think I’m liking the sounds of the Emma Hardie one – the packaging is beautiful too – SLEEEEEK!!
I can blame you for making me buy that, yea? :p

I’ve been using an Ole Henrikson day cream with sunblock. At the moment it is freezing here, but with very bright sun which has been leaving my face feeling both chaffed and burned, this is working well.
