The beauty blogger made me buy it

I think we all know how influential beauty bloggers can be, and like everyone else I struggle to not jump on the hype bandwagon and buy the latest beauty must have that literally everyone is raving about. So let me share with you all this fun post – the beauty blogger made me buy it…

Naked palette

Up until I started beauty blogging ,Urban Decay was a makeup brand that I didn’t know too much about. Before blogging I was very much a MAC and Benefit gal. But boy did that change when I started to read blogs, and realised that I needed the naked palettes in my life. I currently own the first and third naked palettes but I’m sure I’ll be adding the second to my collection very soon.

Again, up until blogging, I did not know the benefits of buying French pharmacy products over regular English pharmacy products. But I have since learned my ways and purchased this giant sized Bioderma purely on the basis that everyone raves about how good it is. And it is pretty good.

La Roche-Posay

Like with Bioderma, I was completely unaware of the wonders of French Pharmacy products until I started reading beauty blogs and watching beauty vlogs, listening to them all talk about how this little tube had completely changed their skin. So I too brought it, and I too saw the effects it had on my skin. Mainly that it completely removed any traces of spots.

Urban Decay Primer Potion

Eyeshadow primer was a new concept to me until I started hearing everyone raving about this Primer Potion. Like most people, I couldn’t resist and had to try it for myself. I’m so glad I did, this is now my go to eyeshadow primer.

Makeup storage

My makeup used to be able to fit into one medium sized makeup bag. That was a long time ago though. Now my makeup is spread out across a fie set Muji storage unit and the Ikea Malm dressing table.

Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser

Who isn’t looking for a primer that promises to improve the look of your pores and also help fight the battle against the 4pm shine? I know I am, and unfortunately, it’s a search I’m still on. As while I like this for the help it gave me in improving the look of my pores, it doesn’t stop against shine unfortunately. But how many beauty bloggers have you seen raving about this when it launched last year?

Revlon Matte and Lacquer Lip Stains

When these launched, it seemed that every beauty blogger was raving about the matte and lacquer collections, so when I saw that Boots had a three for two offer on, I brought three of each. Naturally. I do love these though and they do live up to the hype.

Makeup revolution products

This is a product that I hadn’t even heard about six months ago, but they have made a huge splash in the beauty blogging world, and who can blame them. Their prices are so reasonable and they are well known for their dupes.

Primark makeup products

I do shop in Primark. But if I hadn’t had read and watch YouTube videos of fellow bloggers raving about the beauty range, then I’m not sure I would have picked anything up from their range. Instead, I now own three nail polishes, three eyeliners and two eyeshadow palettes.

Maybelline Baby Lips

This is again, another product that might have just passed me by was it not for the huge publicity that they brand received from bloggers around the world. Plus being as cheap as they are, I couldn’t resist picking up two.

So there you have it. These are some of the things that the beauty blogger made me buy. What have beauty bloggers made you buy?

I’m a huge fan of Urban decay but I can honestly say that bloggers got me into Maybelline products and I now own all the baby lips products!

Whilst I could talk forever about the products bloggers made me buy I think generally they’ve made more open to drugstore products. Before I was quite a snob about make up and/or if I was going to treat myself it would be for something high end… now I’m just as likely to seek out a drugstore fave.

That’s interesting and have to admit before blogging I never looked at many drugstore products either x
