Six reasons to take a Ski Holiday

It may still be August, but it won’t be long before you and your friends start to plan your next big adventure. And if you’re bored of the same old beach break then why not change it up by packing your faux fur hat and thick winter socks and book a ski holiday instead. From feeling the burn, drinking mulled wine on the mountainside and indulging in breath-taking views, here are six reasons to take a ski holiday.

Be a thrill-seeker
Skiing might be a fairly common winter activity but it’s still classed as an extreme sport. So while you might not be ready to jump out of a helicopter and ski down Everest just yet (give it time though). You can definitely bank extra cool points for skiing in the Alps. Plus, the thrill of speeding down the slopes might even get your adrenaline pumping enough to make you into a real extreme sport fan. And don’t forget the Winter Olympics are only around the corner…

It’s a great work out

Skiing is a fun way to tone up your legs and burn some calories. After you spend a week flying down the slopes you’ll be amazed how good you’ll look and feel. Time to feel the burn, people.

Party the night away

If you thought your last girlie holiday was messy then you definitely haven’t experienced an après ski night out. From the moment the slopes close the party starts. You just need to master dancing in your ski boots.

Breath-taking landscapes
Your usual holiday sight-seeing might be good, but let’s face it, most beaches look the same. You haven’t seen anything until you’ve stood on top of a snowy mountain and looked across the horizon, as far as the eye can see.
Get a whole new wardrobe!
While it’s not about what you wear, just think of all the new fashion possibilities once you decide to book a ski holiday. So swap the agonising months of trying to the find the perfect bikini, for comfy knits and one seriously chic ski suit.
Enjoy a holiday with a twist
We all love sitting on a beach with our BFF’s getting a tan. But doing the same thing year in year out can get a bit repetitive. Trade in the sun, sea and sand, for mountainside skiing and experience a friends holiday like no other. After a day skiing and then relaxing in your chalet’s hot tub, you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.
Do you have a ski holiday already booked? or do you prefer the beach to the slopes?

I absolutely hate snow, so not a chance you would ever get me on the slopes, but some of the views I have seen from friends who ski is amazing x
