Whether it’s a manicure, pedicure or cut, colour and blow dry, I love nothing more than being pampered for an hour or so. There’s just something so relaxing about sitting back and letting a professional work their magic on you. Which is why last weekend I went along to the opening of the Rush Hair & Beauty in Milton Keynes, to let their professionals work their magic on me.
If you’re not familiar with Rush Hair & Beauty, they have over 70 salons nationwide and offer a great service from their award winning team. The Milton Keynes salon is their newest salon and it looks amazing! The décor is beautiful and you really feel taken care of as soon as you step into the salon.
I opted to have a blow dry by the lovely Elly, who not only did an amazing job on my hair but also gave me some great hair care tips! We talked a lot about the kind of blow dry I wanted, what products I already used and how to use them more effectively. Normally I apply my heat protection and styling creams onto soaking wet hair. But Elly dried my hair a little before applying the products and it made such a difference to my hair! Rush only use salon quality products from the like of L’Oréal, Kérastase and GHD. And if you love the products they use, you can also buy them from the salon as well.
As you can see the blow is dry is super voluminous and is so soft to touch. She kept brushes in my hair while she was blow drying it to give my hair more bounce – and it certainly worked. Unlike other blow dry’s I’ve had, this one lasted not only throughout the day but for two days afterwards as well. To say I was impressed is an understatement! Next time I’m in need of a blow dry – I’m heading back to Elly at Rush Hair & Beauty.
