Planning a luxury Italian Getaway

Planning a luxury Italian Getaway

As some of you may have seen from my 30 before 30 bucket list I’m trying to travel more before the milestone birthday. Traveling is one of my favourite things to do and as the quote says ‘the world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.’ And so far this year I’ve managed a short break to Lille and a week long break in Portugal. So next on my list is an Italian destination.

Especially as Italy is home to some of the most amazing hotels in the world. Hotels like the Fendi Private Suites in Rome, the Bulgari Hotel in Milan or the Armani Hotel in Milan. With plenty of amazing places to stay in Italy, the hard part will be deciding which part of Italy to visit. Do I go for a relaxed break in Lake Como? A sight seeing break in Rome, Florence or Venice? Or do I go for the ultimate shopping break in Milan? The possibilities are endless!

But wherever I visit, I’m sure I will consider renting a sports car through a luxury car rental. After all Italy is home to Maserati, Ferrari and Lamborghini so why not take advantage and rent one of these beautiful luxury cars? Especially as I’m planning a luxury Italian getaway – just think of all the amazing Instagram pictures and Snapchats you could do in one of those cars! I’m a big believer in hiring a car abroad anyway. That way you can really explore the area you’re in and discover local gems off the beaten track.

To me Italy is one of those places that I know I’ll love. I can’t wait to see the sights in Rome, ride a gondola in Venice or try and attempt one of ‘those’ photos in Pisa. Plus as Italian is one of my favourite types of food, I can’t wait live like an Italian – enjoying authentic pizza, pasta and gelato. And not to mention sampling the local wines!

Have you been to Italy before? Where would recommend going?

Oooh how exciting! I absolutely LOVE Italy, my place to go and just indulge in aaaall the food. I love mixing up the trip a bit when I am out there. Last time my mum and I went we spent half in Rome sight seeing etc, then half back in our little home town of Sora. It is lovely to have a bit of both 🙂 Enjoy! Immy x
