Happy Monday everyone! So as you many have seen from my Snapchat and Instagram last week. I got to head into London to play with the new Glitter Underground Spring 17 Collection from Stila. Now as the name suggests, if you’re a fan of glitter and shimmer, then this is the collection for you! Inspired by the dazzling 70’s disco era, this collection is full of modern metallic that’ll make your eyes, cheeks and lips sparkle and shine. I was lucky enough to get my hands on two pieces of the collection, the liquid eyeshadow and the highlighter. Both of which will be on your next wishlist.
Magnificent metals glitter & glow liquid eye shadow £23
Now this product is probably my favourite from the whole collection! I got to try this at the event and just loved it. It’s a long-wearing liquid sparkly eye shadow that is the perfect mix of pear and glitter tones. And once it’s on your lids, it doesn’t budge! It’s incredibly long lasting. And I love that you can choose to wear this on it’s own, or you can apply it on top of a shadow. The makeup artist at the event used her fingers to gently press this onto my lids before using a brush to blend it out. And it looked fab – if I do say so myself! There are eight shades in the collection and I have Smoky Storm which is a lovely shimmer silvery taupe colour.
Heaven’s hue highlighter in Bronze £28
There are three new highlighters in the collection. Bronze which I have, Kitten which is more of a champagne colour and transcendence which is a bright pink. I tried both Kitten and Transcendence at the event and loved the results! Bronze is great for apply a subtle glow to your cheeks. And what I love about this highlighter is the bouncy-to-touch texture. I’ve honestly never felt a highlighter like it. It’s so light to wear on the skin and gives the right amount of shimmer for that subtle glow that we all want.
As well as the two pieces from the new collection, I was also lucky enough to get two of their best selling products. The one Step Correct and the stay all day waterproof liquid eye liner. Both of which I can’t wait to use. So expect a review on those soon!
