Now I know what you’re thinking. Trust me I’m thinking it too. Do I really need another nude eyeshadow palette? Especially when I already own what feels like hundreds of eyeshadow shades. Half of me was thinking, no I don’t. But then other half of me had already added it to my shopping basket and checked out within 3 seconds of seeing it become available in the 24 hour exclusive preview. What’s a girl to do? But since this arriving and getting to play with it. I can honestly say that yes, I do need this palette. And here’s why I think you need it to!
Ms Tilbury herself has described this palette as a complete eye makeup wardrobe. And it’s easy to see why. The palette is separated into four colour shade trios. Each with their own look. And each look offers you something a little different. But you don’t just have to stick to the colour trios. Though if you’re like me and consider yourself a novice when it comes to applying eyeshadow, then I would recommend it. If you’re more of a pro then go wild and use the palette as a whole to mix up the shades and create whatever look you desire.
The four colour shade trios are designed to take you from Desk to Disco. And as this isn’t a bold or bright palette. It’s perfect for all nude tone eyeshadow palette lovers out there. With a great mix of mattes and shimmers in cool and warm tones. I already know that this will be one of my most used palettes, purely on the fact you can create so many looks this this. And to make it even easier to apply, each trio has a shade to Prime, Enhance and Smoke:
PRIME – soft cream matte | ENHANCE – neutral taupe shimmer | SMOKE – brown matte
PRIME – pink champagne shimmer | ENHANCE – warm terracotta matte | SMOKE – milk chocolate matte
PRIME – warm cocoa shimmer | ENCHANCE – bronzed chocolate shimmer | SMOKE – dark chocolate matte
PRIME – gold shimmer | ENHANCE – olive shimmer | SMOKE – dark black matte
All the shades are incredibly soft and creamy, and thankfully with little to no fall out. And they’re incredibly easy to blend. I feel like anyone can achieve beautiful looks from this palette. As the hard work has already been done for you. Some of the shades do require a bit of building on the eyes to achieve the desired colour. But overall, the colours and pay off are impressive.
Now this isn’t a cheap palette. At £60 is significantly more expensive than other 12 shade eyeshadow palettes on the market. But considering Charlotte Tilbury’s Luxury Eye Palettes cost £39 each for four shades. You are getting great value for money.
