It’s not everyday that I can go into MAC and only buy two products. More often than not, I want to go in and buy the whole shop. But that just isn’t possible. Not until I win the lottery anyway.
So here are the two products that I ended up getting. Both of which I have wanted for a long time.
The first is Mineralize Skinfinish in ‘Soft and Gentle’. I’ve seen so many reviews of this product that I just knew I had to try it for myself, and I’m not disappointed.
The Mineralize Skinfinish is a compact powder highlighter with a frosty metallic finish. MAC actually describe it as a ‘peach bronze’ colour, which it is, with a hint of champagne thrown in as well.
As mentioned this product has had a lot of hype surrounding it, but I truly believe that it deserves all the hype. I’ve tried a lot of highlighters and this gives a very natural glow that is so easy to achieve, just give yourself a quick swirl over the cheekbones and voilà – gorgeous summer glow.
The Mineralize Skinfinish is available from MAC stores, online and in concessions and is priced at £22.
The second item that I got is the MAC Brush Cleanser. I’ve recently invested in lots of new brushes so I want to make sure that I’m cleaning them properly and the MAC Brush Cleanser makes cleaning them so easy.
To clean my brushes, I either pour a small amount onto a piece of tissue or kitchen paper and then rub my brushes back and forth until all the make up is removed. Or I pour a small amount into a cup and swirl the brushes around in it until it’s clean and then rinse under water.
The best thing about this brush cleanser is that when using it, my brushes dry very quickly. The only downside is that it would be better with a spray pump, as this would make it a lot easier when spot cleaning my brushes.
The MAC Brush Cleanser is £10 and is available from MAC stores, online and in their concessions.
