As someone who owns a lot of makeup and is lucky enough to try out different products as part of this blog, I think it’s fair to say I have a lot of choice when it comes to deciding what to put on my face each day. But the problem is I’m a creature of habit. I tend to stick to the same looks time and time again. I have my usual day to day look and then my slightly more glammed up look for a special occasion or night out. But with the amount of makeup that I have I really should be changing it up more often. Which is why I’ve put together this post with the 5 products I need to use more of.
Revlon Lip Butter ‘Sorbet’
These have been a cult beauty staple for a while now and when I first got this I wore it all the time. But since then it’s been pushed to the back of the dressing table in favour of new products. But I need to start using it again because it’s gorgeous! Although the colour is quite bright, it’s the perfect spring summer shade. It’s well pigmented and it just glides onto your lips like a traditional lip but with the added bonus of a great colour.
Bourjois Healthy Balance Unifying Powder
Not so long ago this was my go to powder of choice. But like the lip butter as new products arrived this one got forgotten about. And I don’t know why. It’s one of the best smelling powders out there. it’s so smooth and silky and applies effortlessly onto your skin for a flawless and shine-free finish.
Maybelline the nudes palette
I hunted high and low to find this palette when it launched. I took it away with my last year and I’m not sure I’ve touched it since. Why? Because I’m an idiot. This palette has everything you want from a nude eyeshadow collection. With a mux of 12 wearable shimmers, matts and sheer shades the hard work has been done for you as the colours have been matched into quads, trios and duos so you know which shades work well together.
Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara
This is actually a pretty recent addition to my makeup collection but I’m still not using it as much as I should. And that annoys me because it’s the perfect day to day mascara to wear to add volume and length to my lashes. This mascara doesn’t flake throughout the day and adds an intensity to my lashes with the thick black formula.
Although I’m not normally a pink blush kind-gal, I love this blusher from MAC. Although Dollymix might look scary in the pan, it’s actually a really soft pink that you can build on for a more intense colour depending on the look you’re going for.
