A peek inside my wardrobe – why the bell sleeve trend is worth investing in

Bell Sleeve

I think it’s fair to say that I’m really not trendy. I mean I’m really not. A long time ago I realised that I should wear things that suit my body, rather than follow the trend. Of course there has been some exceptions. I mean I really can’t resist anything with embroidery on at the moment. And I’m so pleased metallic have made a comeback. But one of the key trends that I am embracing is the bell sleeve trend.

Not I know this trend isn’t for everyone. And I really wouldn’t recommend wearing a bell sleeve top when you’re having lunch. You can’t roll the sleeves up and if you have to stretch across the table your sleeve is going in the food! But that aside. It’s definitely one of the bigger trends I’m investing in this year.

So much so that I already have two bell sleeves top. Although I’m sure that will increase as we move into summer. I love the versatility of these tops. You can dress them up, or dress them down. And they’re the kind of top you can throw on with a pair of jeans to make it look like you’ve made an effort. When you really haven’t.

The first bell sleeve top I have is from George at ASDA and cost a mere £10. I know. Bargain right? It’s made of a lovely jersey material that’s perfect to wear on it’s own now that the weather is starting to get a little warmer. And the second pink one is actually a sale bargain from Dorothy Perkins and cost £10 as well. I love the dusty pink colour. The material is a little softer than the grey one. But just seems to go with so much at the moment.

What do you think of this trend? Do you have any bell sleeve tops?

As always thank you to Kaye for taking these pictures!

I always look at bell sleeved tops and chicken out but I do absolutely love the style! They look great and I bet they’re really comfortable too. You’re totally rocking them here though so I might just have to give them a go myself now! x

I love the bell sleeve! I remember it being in-trend back in the early noughties and I invested in some tops with bell sleeves back then, as well as doing the same now. I love all of your tops. They really suit you 🙂

You look so darn pretty in that top! The bell sleeves really must be a trend. I’ve been seeing them on more and more girls as they walk through campus. Every time I think “Now that’s really cool!”

I’ve never had bell sleeves before because I tend to roll up my sleeves as the lower half of my arms get warm, but they look great on you x

I don’t have any bell sleeved tops but I might consider getting one as I just got a tattoo on my wrist and it’s so hard to keep warm but kept it moisturized in the same time while wearing a normal sleeved top.

It does look great on you but I would have to pass for myself as I’d get it in the food I make for the family and my little one would want to hang off the sleeves lol.
