So this post is the first in what I’m hoping will become a regular feature. Although this blog started out as a beauty blog, over the past four years it’s evolved into so much more than that. I can use this little space on the internet to talk about food, travel, interiors and beauty. But one of the areas I really want to develop is fashion. Fashion has always been a passion of mine, but as my body shape has changed, so has my confidence in sharing my outfits with you all. But I’m trying to change that. So here’s the first sneak peek inside my wardrobe and one of my favourite items – a classic black duster jacket.
Now I will admit, when it comes to clothes, I do love black clothing. Black just goes with everything! And this jacket, does go with pretty much everything in my wardrobe. It’s a lightweight jacket that is smart enough to wear in the office, and casual enough for a relaxed weekend look. You can either wear it loose, or use the belt to tie it around the middle. Personally I love how easy this jacket is to wear. I’ve added a shirt underneath and worn it to work, I’ve dressed it up and worn it over a Ted Baker dress for a night out. And I’ve even dressed it down and worn it with Converse at the weekend.
And at just £40 this is a complete bargain. Especially for something as classic as a black duster jacket. In this post I’ve teamed it with a simple white vest, my favourite Alexander McQueen Skull Scarf, a pair of classic black jeans and my new favourite boots. These beauties are from Primark and cost just £12 – a complete bargain for something I know I’m going to get a lot of wear out of. I’m actually tempted to pick up a second pair as a spare set!
This black duster jackets is from Wallis and you can pick it up from Love The Sales for £40.
What do you think of this look? Do you like the black duster jacket?
